My New Years resolution for 2014 is to smile all year long and to have at least one cup of coffee a day. No matter what is going on, I will be smiling. It is a lot harder than it sounds. I have broken this resolution hundreds of times already, but I will not stop smiling! It may seem creepy, but I don't care. I just keep smiling and smiling. As I write this on my smartphone, I have a huge smile on my face. Oh, my dear friends, this year I have started a new relationship with an old friend..
After a yearlong hiatus, I have started drinking coffee again, and I don't know how I made it through 2013 without the world's favorite caffeinated beverage. Coffee calms me down and relaxes me and fills me with joy. It makes my eyeballs big and my face itchy. It really is good for me. Even though I had my gall bladder taken out last month, I thank God that He is letting me drink coffee again. Black coffee in Styrofoam cup. IT just doesn't work for me in a mug. It has to be in Styrofoam. I went to the dollar store and bought a huge pack of Styrofoam cups. Try it some time. There is something in the Styrofoam that gives you more bang for your buck. That is all that I can say about that.
Speaking of coffee...I am trying to do this Jerry Seinfeld inspired Christian TV show. Christians getting wired on coffee and sharing the Gospel with strangers in public places. We already have three episodes where I ordered a 5 pound bag of David Lynch Organic Coffee from Amazon and weird things happened that day as we documented our Crusade. Tim got it all on video: I heal the sick, raise the dead, and help homeless people admit that they are slaves of a Satanic Overlord, but it is not their fault. David Lynch Coffee is really good!
Also, we are still trying to come up with a title for this Christian Evangelic Coffee Experience TV Show. My friend Grace wants to call it: CHRISTIANS ON SPEED! That title would probably attract lots of viewers, but it may give the wrong impression. We are on the speed of the Holy Spirit! He gives us a New Life, and that fills us with a Supernatural Energy. You can have it too, in the mighty Name of Jesus! It is combat, there is a war going on right now. It has nothing to do with Duck Dynasty and homophobic comments. Stop being so sensitive. I am a soldier!
Is it weird that I'm the only one commenting? You're still the same, Jason. And I mean that in the best way possible. These days, Jesus is your crack.
ReplyDeleteNot weird at all, and I thank you for your comments Allie. As far as being the same Jason...I beg to differ. I have not smoked anything or drank any alcohol in almost 5 years. I don't speak in strange voices anymore. And having Jesus Christ in my life is so much better than being a "recreational" crack smoker and heroin user. Even weed made me quite foolish, as you may remember. Being a Holy Spirit filled Bible reading believer is a different paradigm altogether. I am filled with love and joy, and also humility and self control. It is no longer all about the Mighty Jason. It is about living a Spirit filled life, and sharing that lifestyle with others. I am free from self destructive behavior. I have experienced the Power that raised Christ from the dead, and I have been given a New and Improved Life. I would love for others to comment, but thank you again Allie. Btw, I am having a baby boy soon!!! Hallelujah!
ReplyDeleteI don't doubt that you have changed. What I meant is that it seems like your core traits–sense of humor, strangeness, style of writing, desire to learn and read, etc.–seem to remain intact. Kind of reminds me of when I saw that old video of you from like 1997 and your mannerisms were the same. The essence of Jason is still there, if that makes any sense. Maybe I'm wrong. Anywho, congrats on the baby boy and happy early birthday!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome, and it makes perfect sense. Thank you so much. I just love growing and changing and transforming into a better person...our lives are adventurous journeys.
